Inexpensive Replacement Parts posted by Bob on April 22, 2010 at 5:33 pm
I happen to be in the habit of breaking the lens cover (the plastic piece over the blackberry screen) on my phone.
I found a company in Hong Kong that shipped me a replacement for $2.29 including shipping. I think I paid around $10 for the last one. It took about a month to arrive, but the price can not be beat. It really shows the scale of the global internet economy and how easy it is to do business internationally.

Does anyone remember HyperCard? posted by Bob on August 06, 2008 at 12:21 am
HyperCard was some fantastic software that people used in the good old days to write Macintosh applications. You can think of it similar to Visual Basic. The language, HyperTalk (or you could have used AppleScript), is very similar to English.
Anyways, the people at TileStack created a site that basically reimplements HyperCard, old stacks and all. You can use it to make "widgets" and other kinds of fancy things. I signed up for the beta a few months ago and I got in yesterday. Most of my old "stacks" will not run without errors, but it is still cool to relive them.
